1. There’re 2 methods to install a new theme on WordPress blog
1.1. Install a theme that is available on WordPress
Those are almost free themes that are available for install directly and free of charge on WordPress. To do this, you need to login to your Admin dashboard and do some steps below
1. Login to your Admin dashboard with your username + password
2. Go to Appearance -> Themes
3. Choose Add New at the top of page
4. The page then shows you hundreds of free themes. You can choose any of them to use. Example if you want a theme for your Travel WordPress blog, just type a “travel” in the search box at the top right corner. As the image below
5. Hover the mouse over the theme you select, then choose Preview to see it first or choose Install to install that theme
After installing the theme you choose, you need to activate it in order to use properly. Just simple press the Active button as below

1. Login to your Admin dashboard with your username + password
2. Go to Appearance -> Themes
3. Choose Add New at the top of page
4. Choose Upload Theme at the top left corner
5. Choose the theme you would like to install from your computer, usually, it’s in .zip format. And the provider gives you this package when you buy. Or someone shares this with you. Press Install Now button to continue installing it.
6. After installing the theme successfully, you need to activate it to use. Press the Activate text link to activate it. Or you can activate it later in Appearance -> Themes
